Thank you Blue Jays

St. Francis School would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Toronto Blue Jays Care Foundation!

Over the past several months, our Grade 2 and Grade 3 students have proudly participated in the Jays Care Affiliate School Program. Once a week, students chose to spend part of their recess learning and growing through sport. They developed fundamental movement skills, teamwork, confidence, leadership, and even learned how to “breathe like a Blue Jay” to help regulate their emotions and stay focused.

A special thank you goes out to our amazing Grade 6 student helpers, who supported our younger students and helped make each session a success.

The Jays Care Affiliate School Program is a free nationwide initiative that provides schools with adaptive equipment, program resources, and Toronto Blue Jays merchandise. More importantly, it helps foster belonging, physical literacy, and valuable life skills through sport for students facing significant barriers.

As a celebration the foundation sent t-shirts and hats to all involved!!

We are grateful for this opportunity and the positive impact it has had on our students. Go Jays Go!
